ISE 2017 - The AV World Hits Amsterdam

Ira Weinstein's notes and comments from the largest AV show in the world.

February 2017 brought with it the 14th annual Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) event in Amsterdam.

This year’s expo made a big splash with record attendance with almost 1,200 AV vendors and service providers, 73,000 attendees from 150 countries (an all-time high, 11.7% increase from 2016), and more than 600 press and media personnel.

Never one to be left out, I attended ISE to meet with some of the industry’s biggest names debuting their latest and greatest technology and services.  Three days of non-stop, hands-on, face-to-face meetings and briefings gave me the inside track on what we can expect in the coming months of 2017.

This briefing note showcases a few of the highlights of my trip to ISE, particularly the latest in ideation solutions, video conferencing endpoints, microphone / audio systems, and more.  This write-up includes information about the following companies:

  • Altia Systems
  • Ashton Bentley
  • Barco
  • Biamp
  • Cisco
  • Crestron
  • DisplayNote
  • Huddle Room Tech
  • Huawei
  • InFocus
  • Kramer
  • Logitech
  • Mersive
  • Multi-Taction
  • Nureva
  • Oblong
  • Pinnaca
  • Polycom
  • Prysm
  • Shure
  • TrueConf
  • Yealink

At the show, I tried to meet with as many companies as possible during this far-too-short event.  My write-up represents what I saw and deemed interesting - and am allowed to talk about.  This is not to say that other companies did not have something interesting to say at the event ... it just means that I didn't have a chance to drop by.
