Evaluation of the Grandstream GVC3200 Video System

Hands-on testing of a set-top video endpoint that's a bit more than meets the eye

Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Boston, MA, privately held Grandstream Networks is a long-standing manufacturer of IP voice and video phones, telephony systems and video surveillance products.

In June 2015, Grandstream announced the release of the GVC3200, a set-top system that was the company’s first foray into the group video conferencing arena.  In March 2016, the company announced the launch of IPVideoTalk, a cloud-based video conferencing service that supports Grandstream video systems, WebRTC-capable browsers (Chrome, Firefox), and SIP endpoints and software clients.

This document provides the results of our hands-on testing of the GVC3200, plus some insight into the IPVideoTalk service.
