It is with mixed emotions that I announce Senior Analyst, Partner, and my co-founder of Wainhouse Research (WR), Andrew W. Davis, is retiring on 1 July 2017.

Andrew and I signed the founding papers for WR almost 18 years ago - on 21 July 1999.  Over the last 18 years, Andrew, I, and the WR team have carved out a place for a research-centered analyst firm with a laser focus on excellence.  In a market primarily populated with much larger competitors, WR has become a trusted advisor to the top telco's, tech companies, financial firms, and enterprises worldwide.

What we are, and what we represent, has a lot to do with the fanatical focus that Andrew has had on non-biased research, clear and concise writing, and engaging public speaking. Each of us here at WR - either in research or consulting, sales, finance, or management have come into the crosshairs of Andrew's wicked eye for detail.  Even after two or more people had peer-reviewed research content, it was typical of Andrew to find a way to make the text better, or challenge a foundational assumption.  And, we are all better for it.  We are better analysts, better consultants, and better advisors to our clients.

So, while my emotions are mixed - I am sad to see this critical thinker leave our ranks - I am also happy for the great run we have had together, and happy for a much-deserved retirement.

Andrew tells me he will be relaxing this summer on Cape Cod, then heading over to tour Europe in the Fall.

Please join me in congratulating Andrew on a great run, and in wishing him good health and happiness in retirement.
