Qumu is showing its first glimmers of a comeback.

The enterprise streaming platform vendor this week reported $5.2 million in contract bookings for the second quarter of 2018, nearly doubling the bookings reported during the same period a year earlier.

Likewise, software license and appliance revenue for the company more than tripled over the prior year, reaching $2.9 million in sales and up from $900,000 during the same time last year.

Last week, Degreed, a leading Learning Experience Platform (LXP) vendor, acquired a smaller rival, Pathgather. LXPs are the fastest growing segment of the Enterprise Learning Market and combining the two firms will allow them to stop competing and capture greater share.  Both companies are privately held and financial terms were not disclosed, but the companies noted they intend to keep all employees.

Enterprise streaming solutions provider Vbrick today said it has raised $20 million in new financing, giving the company a fresh war chest earmarked specifically to fuel expanded sales and marketing efforts.

Vbrick said the new round of financing is led by Morgan Stanley Expansion Capital with participation from existing investors Acme Nova and Adams Capital.
