Well, just take a look at what Brightcove found in the bargain bin.

The online video platform provider this week announced plans to acquire video platform rival Ooyala in a stock and cash deal valued at $15 million.

Once completed later this year, the deal will unite the two one-time darlings of the cloud streaming video industry while simultaneously offering a cautionary tale on how even the hottest of video start-ups can wind up as an industry afterthought given enough strategic missteps over time.
